#236: Normality (or a facsimile thereof)

No, this storyarc isn't quite finished…there are still a couple of loose ends that need tying up, as well as the results for that "Guess the Injoke" contest.

The yellow hard hat right next to the Astro Chicken flight hat in the first panel (which we all noticed, right?) is a "Mystery Science Theater 3000" reference. I've only seen a few episodes of that show, and now, thanks to the legally questionable phenomenon known as YouTube, I've been catching up on older episodes, lamenting on how I didn't waste my childhood watching it.

Anyway, one day it suddenly dawned on me that not only was there a lot of zaniness, satire, parodying and humor on that show with a slight amount of sci-fi on the side, but that the protagonist of the show for the first 5 ˝ seasons was a janitor (Man, I would have included an injoke like this years ago had this been known to me!). He wears that hard hat in the first few versions of the show's intro, and his name is also written in itty bitty letters just above the hat's brim (in this depiction of it, not in the intro).
