#190: Interruptions

NOTE: This comic has been resized and is recommended to be viewed in clean mode.

Yep, it's the return of the effeminate reptoid. Incidentally, the conclusion to this joke is: "The beaver walks in again, but this time he asks the alien, 'Got any nails?'. And the alien says, 'No, we don't have any nails.". Then the beaver says, 'Got any beaver food?'"

I may take not upload a strip next week. This strip took quite a while, my wrists hurt again, and I'm pretty strapped for ideas. (What else is new?)

---Injoke/reference revealed below (highlight to read)---

Xandra's shades and dialogue in the second panel combine to form a spoof on a famous quote from "The Matrix".

Comment: Haha, great work, keep em coming...A further note about the boulder beaver...he will eat you in SQ2 if you are not carrying the gem into the cave on the cliff.

Comment: It's a spoof on a quote from The Matrix. I've never seen it, but I've seen this quote splashed all over the place.

Comment: Hah! Good joke, I'd never heard that one before. Interesting look for Xandra with the shades. The only think I didn't understand was the spork thing.

Comment: I adapted the duck joke for the SQ universe. The Boerthnic Boulder Beaver is one of the species in the Entities Database in SQ6.

Comment: I've heard of a version of the joke the reptiloid was trying to tell. Only in the version I'm familiar with, it was a duck instead of a beaver.

Still, this comic was indeed quite funny!
